I'm in need of a green maybe blue laser pointer, max 125mW, max $200. From a reliable and quality company like novalasers but they don't do paypal. I'm in Hungary. I would like to pay no more than $30 on the shipping. Any suggestions?

All I see is with non regular battery. I'd like one that accepts my recharegeable AAA's or AA's. Well they have $5 charger so it might not be that of a problem.:)

With a higher power laser AA's and AAA's will not give you much of a run time. Larger Li-ion cells like CR123's and 18650's will last longer and most of the time be a higher quality battery.

O-like and Rayfoss based on reviews from the forum are both reliable companies. I ordered from O-like this week.

I saw their shipping rate is like $5 or $8, they bundle charger and battery to a bit higher powered lasers:) Looks good!

Now trying to decide between new cute and the regular adjustable. Do these have IR filter? It's indicated in some product names, but fo the one I'm lookin at it's not indicated.

Well I clicked on that register link but it's a manual stuff. I copypasted what they need and fileld out. Then like5 minutes later I sent my order. Not sure they can give me the discount to the order this fast, I think they process everything by hand. Thanks for the review link.

When you get an email (for the paypal instructions) just put a note in the mail saying you have registered but not heard anything. Wait for another mail of Faona and she might give you the discount there and then :)

And I suppose I can stuff in some extras from her, I dunno yet just browsing the shop and it seems that they have stuff that is only mentioned here not on the website, like IR and the lens for this particular wavelength that creates many little dots and whatnot.

The stars lens caps are more for the pen style laser pointers. The one you stated is just a focusable pointer only. You could mod it to take the star lens caps but would invalidate the warranty.

Oh ok whatever then I won't have those stars:) But she can attach an ir filter to its insides, I believe. Is that really necessary btw?

It all depends how much you like your eye sight :) Green lasers use IR lasers with a crystal set making them green, you will get some IR leakage which you can't see but can still damage your eyes, it is advisable :)

Thanks for the info didn't know they use crystals. I knew about the IR part and what it is. But then I think I'll have it built in my laser then. If they really can do it would be nice. :) Looking forward to my laser, I wanted one for years! When I was a chld I had these chinese <1 mW red pointers and I was even amazed by them some was so bright :) Time has passed and I grew up to not see these as toys anymore. Some of them are weapons grade, literally..

OMG she is so kind.
"That would be the best.To add an IR filter is charger free but this will cause 15-20% power lose and it will not come out once installed. If you need we could add IR lens to your order."

I think she means the power loss on the invisible part. So I guess it would take a bit more time to melt plastic, light matches or pop balloons, but the beam will have the same brightness?

Will it be able to do these kind of stuff with the IR filter added? BTW they give me free goggles! :)
