i LOVE my reptiles. hate to thread jack but i personally own: P. imperator, H. hottentotta, Chaco Golden Knee, S. polymorpha, and a beautiful red tail boa. Im a big centipede guy. my favorite was my S subspinipes. he was mike. one day whilst cleaning mikes jar, he broke out of his back up cage (lifted the lid!) then when it got cold one night, i turned the furnace on and the vents started spitting out smoke and nasty smell. turned it off and checked it out. guess where mike was? furnace. just my luck too. bites are no fun. anywho ive had alot over the past 3 years.

My brother has a bearded dragon. Love him :)

I live in Canada though so I don't think I'll have issue getting a laser from DL. :3

Also I have 15$. I'm just going to save every bit of money I have until I have enough for a 200 mW red from Sci-Fi lasers. And for a pair of DL safety glasses.

I have a couple green ebay pens lying around. Any instructions on how to remove the DPSS crystals and expose the IR diode (And focus it) ?

it ruins the outside looks of it but basically just pry the head out of it, and unscrew the sections of it until you have a bare diode, then use the native lens to focus it. then you can re install it into the host

Dragon lasers actually has been on the list since August. Oct is just the updated version. I've bought a dragon laser and received it sept 9. They just use a different address so customs doesn't know it's coming from dragon. None of my paperwork said dragon any where. It was declared a $26 box of toy parts. Both of them got through fine.

Yeah 473 nm is going to be the first "rare" color I buy. Aqua/Electric blue is my favorite color. Best price I've seen is 300$ for a 10 mW from Lazerer. Looks pretty decent, has an IR filter and they guarantee it to be overspec.

I'm going to wait it out on 473, hoping it gets cheaper like 532 did.

DragonLasers 473 nm 10 mW is 500$... Im sure its far better quality than the Lazerer one but for someone who wants to own a 473 nm I'm sure it would suffice.

How about once I get a job I'll buy it and do a review on it. :p

Maybe the next version of Blu-Ray will use 473 nm and then they'll mass produce them. Not likely to happen though since 405 is narrower....

Honestly I would be kind of disappointed if 473 got cheap because it would ruin the exclusivity factor XD

EDIT: Oh wait didn't see the Spartan 473 nm. Wow 20 mW for 300$ isn't bad.

Back when I checked Nichia labeled them with different color names, and you would most likely get better search results with the correct name of the diode. I don't think there is a 473 diode just 476
