Howdy All
It's that time and this thread makes it OFFICIAL I'm starting work on several WFTM's now so keep checking back
as I will be updating this thread as work progresses.
Here is a few pictures for those that do not know what a WFTM is.
This is the 4 units I am working on now for people who are on my list.
This is a test set up for aligning the three lasers.
Some components in the case.
Some of the components that go into a WFTM.
This one has two circuit boards, one to drive the lasers and one for a remote control system
Unfortunately this WFTM was stolen from the man I made it for so if you see it out let me know
I was testing the patterns made from different numbers of spyros.
I settled on two because this is supposed to be portable
Now that is what I call a white dot
Ever held a laser that can produce a white dot or beam  now you can
But it can do so much more than white
A few colors from FML
Now that the new "Set-up" driver is built some aligning can commence
The diachronic mirror is just sitting there in this picture, it actually looks white, needs some epoxy and alignment
Your looking at a total of 200mW of color here, the power will be turned up :eg:
Here's a few pictures of the new window, what do you think ?
This hi tech epoxy is made for plastic and glass
up front
With the major parts mounted now wiring can begin
I found there is not enough room for two 10 turn pots in the main case of the WFTM it must be one single turn and one
10 turn which still works better than two single turn pots, if you want the 10 turn option it just got cheaper by 1/2
These will become available soon, of course though the WFTM must be "either or" at this time, either direct control or
remote control but not both at this time any way.
It comes with a 6 foot cord attached this is plenty for mounting your WFTM on a tripod and sitting back in your easy
chair and going through the patterns for a couple hours with out the arm ache of trying to hold it and keep
the beams on the wall in the same place.
You will be there for hours if your not disturbed  so you might want to think about this mod.
If you feel you need like 20 more feet I can supply a WFTM remote extension cable at a reasonable cost.
OK the first remote is finished now I need a WFTM to connect it to
The wiring harness is made with with my silicone insulated wire for trouble free operation and a long life.
Plugs are installed for ease of changing internal components if needed.
You see the two pot's they are 10 turn 2W wire wound pot's, not your standard 1 turn pot !
this gives much more sensitive tuning of the spyros.
I'm testing out now I have done some testing and it was very favorable so I bought these two which are different
values to determine which is the best for the WFTM.
power regulator for the spyro motors, with custom over size heat sink.
All wired and ready to rock and roll :yh:
And the work is continuing on all fronts in the land of White Fusion
More drivers are getting wired and tested for proper operation.
For those interested in protecting there investment I am offering Pelican brand cases, this will be excellent to carry it around in, I know I have been using one for two years now to transport and keep my WFTM in and it still works like the day I made it
this is a 1200 series case and can hold up to two standard WFTM's and there power supplies or one WFTM remote and it's power supply.
I have a smaller 1200 case for one WFTM and power supply.
PM me for prices and availability.
It is busy here the bench is full of WFTM parts
Here is where all this started with the Hand held 7 color laser, see here> http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/white-laser-now-host-36905-6.html#post469604
