I have been looking for an answer for this for three days now:

635-6.jpg

It's clear to me where most things would attach to, but what about TLL modulation, If there is nothing plugged in, would it at default be set to 0 at no TLL? Since there would be no signal determining the amount of frequency for TLL.

And also, what about the power input, where do I find a power supply with an input voltage of 12-13VDC and input current of 2A? Would I need special gear to create those inputs, or are there any battery packs with those specs? I searched about it, but can't find anything helpful about this.

Ah, well idiots I can't account for. I blame society for such lack of intelligence, schools should teach basic technology like this anyway. And lasers are not toys, but tools.

Knifes are tools, not toys. Does it stop people from being careless with them? Does it stop people from using them as weapons? Does it stop curious kids from touching the blade to see how sharp it really is?

$65 will get you a decent pair of Eagle Pair protective goggles.

Everyone who has replied has valid points.

Use the information stickies and search function of the forum for laser related questions and for other questions and to find vendors use search function of google and the Buy/Sell/Trade section of the forum

Endcap has just repeated one more time what we have been patiently trying to help you understand -

BUT . . .

Guys don't worry. By arguing he is simply proving our point. If he is not willing to listen to us and take our advice, than he is just telling us to piss off. I can already tell he will not be liked here anyways...

@ OP - when you can learn to know when you are wrong, come back and we will be happy to help you.

If they where educated in schools about those things, they would sure know how to use them as tools, and why.

But how am I supposed to know where to look for answers if I'm probably looking in the wrong places, or don't even know what some of the parts necessary are called? Like if I search on a website a battery, or battery pack with an input voltage of 12-13VDC and input current of 2A, there's absolutely nothing relevant. The vendors, I saw these lasers on, have the page very vague with about 2 images and not even a paragraph of text, or any contact info where to find them. The natural conclusion is that these answers are not available, so asking someone who might know, is a solution.

The problem is that you're looking to jumpstart an interest in this hobby without going through the learning that is necessary to do it in a safe manner.

There's one personality trait that gives everyone on this forum concern: impulsivity.

Impulsivity and lasers are a bad mix, and when people arrive in this community acting impulsive, it's cause for concern.

You were trying to jump in with a 1W laser. If you had truly read through the volumes of information available on this forum, you'd have understood that 1W is incredibly powerful, and not at all an appropriate place for you to start.

I know the frustration of asking a question on a forum and getting obnoxious responses from people who just want to hold over your head the fact that they have some knowledge you don't. That happens often online, and I hate it.

BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE.

In this case, the forum is reacting to the fact that you're looking to obtain a very powerful laser, and clearly, from your comments, don't understand enough about lasers to give the forum comfort in the fact that you'll use it safely.

Spare us the anticipated response of trying to convince us otherwise. Instead, why don't you grab some very low powered laser gear, and safety glasses, and learn how to use lasers safely at low power first? If you're young, make sure you have a parent supervise. But give up this notion of jumping in to your first laser at 1W of output. If that's your goal, you're not going to find people in this forum willing to help you.

The same exact system is on a 400mW laser, not 1 watt.

400mW 635nm Red laser Industrial Module /Focusable [OL-635-400] - $99.00 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

It's where this image is from.

And as you can see, the webpage itself barely has any information about the laser it sells.

A humanoid (/ˈhjuːmənɔɪd/; from English human and -oid "resembling") is something that has an appearance resembling a human being. More generally, the term can refer to anything with uniquely human characteristics and/or adaptations, such as possessing opposable appendage (thumbs) or the ability to walk in an upright position.
