I think I would CONSIDER a blue at $300, but that's just me. At what price would you have a real tough time deciding to get it or not?

Would depend on power/quality. I see some cruddy looking excuses for blues being sold at ~$360, but you usually pay a good bit more for anything half-decent. I personally shelled out $1k on an RPL Blue 17mW - so you can guess I'm pretty insane about blue.

Well since blues use diodes now I would pay max $300 for it. But it would have to have an average output of 50mw :)

Wishful thinking huh :)

I have a 400mw blue...

but personally, I'm waiting for more power and cheaper prices. Any color laser within the next 5-10 years is gonna be very powerful and very cheap.

Not yet really. Sharp has announced they can make 440nm diode, but it may be a long time before we see any feasable blue diode on the market for us, and even longer before power becomes cheap. Hopefully we'll get our break on blue within the next year or three though. Gotta feel sorry for the lasershow guys though! Blue diodes aren't gunna help out the people who need high power blues at all.

I'd love to, but it's so interated into an application now that it's basically beyond hope of play until it's replacement comes online...

That is a 5 watt greenie ( that's also a 10+watt IR or a 2 watt UV etc etc) YAG that I can play with.. I just got a camera back, still have another one i just bought that broke, so pics are coming soon.
