Vote for your favorite laser color wavelength! Both lasers are 35mW and TEM00. Beam specs are pretty standard (1.2mm @ aperture, <1.2mRad). Nothing else matters... price, host, stability, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. Just the beauty of the color and the beam/dot. Feel free to share your opinions below!

Where is the option "I don't shit money, so I've never seen any of them in real life"?

Dude you're right that should've been Option 4... If editing polls was allowed, I would change it to that right now (exactly the way you wrote it) lol

You can can't you? Don't you go under thread tools at the top.

I've never edited one but I'm sure you could :S

no, I just double-checked. Maybe it has something to do with post-count?

I voted 589 because of stability. I really, really, really don't think that there will be any noticable difference in color between equal power 589 and 594 lasers (and that's with owning a Rigel 20). That's just me though.

I agree with your statement regarding stability, but the vote specifically disregards stability as a motive for voting. However you are correct about there not being that great of a difference between 589 and 593.5, so it doesn't really matter anyways :yh:

In hindsight, I probably should've just grouped 589 and 594nm into one option anyways. Oh well.

Yeah, I didn't realize that you had that caveat until after I had made my post lol

well clearly 473nm Blue has been dominating... both 589nm and 593.5nm combined are still losing by two votes... well I must say this is rather unexpected but really provides some interesting insight and really does explain a lot of trends I've been seeing in GB's. Thanks for voting guys and keep it up!

Yeah 473 is a gorgeous color. Most people you would ask would say they like blue better than yellow anyway, so I'm not surprised that blue is winning here, either. Personally, I've always preferred yellow.

I really want to get my hands on a blue that can average about 20mw. Mine only averages 4.

I have at least one pal who agrees it is the 593.5 that's the coolest color laser!
btw, the 2 yellow wl's are neck and neck w/ blue if you add them together, and they look very close to the same guys! Oh, n/m I see blue has now pulled ahead!!!
I thought this w/b good here! :)
