Hi guys !

Recently i started playing with eletronic a bit harder . My last project was a Building a small EMP to stop all eletronic items in the room.

And now want to pass to the laser .I bought from ebay a 5mW laser pointer and it was so cool.It looked like a long beam in the sky (during night) cuz during day wsnt that much visible.

I also tried to raise its power but resulted into death :D

So i want to build a newer powerful laser. At least to light up a match (no more power needed.

Ive bought the glass protectors cuz i read on the forum that they are very dangerous.

I want to build this for fun and to test myself.

Lately im obsessed with lasers.

Would like any kind of guide as i have absolutely no idea where to start from.

Thank you all

Welcome to the forums, I'm sure you'll find the community here very nice and helpful.

While I haven't started a build myself, there is a ton of information on here. Probably the best place to start is this thread: http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/i-want-build-laser-thread-52972.html

I would also suggest heading over the the Reviews and Tutorials sections of the forum, Tutorials for the obvious reason and Reviews because there you can get a grasp of what sort of build will get you what you want. Make sure that whatever kind of laser you make that the glasses you bought block that wavelength.

Take your time and read the stickied threads, it won't take long to figure out what you want and where you can get what you need. Looks like most of the users that supply parts are comfortable with shipping worldwide, so it shouldn't be too hard.

Good luck, have fun, and be safe!

From my (limited) knowledge base, I would say there definitely isn't any conflict between those two. You really need to be most concerned about your batteries==>driver==>diode compatibilities, the aixiz module just holds things in place. I would really recommend checking out some of the threads in the proshop section on here, you can do your shopping from fewer folks and save on shipping, plus those guys are really the best ones to ask as far as component choosing and workability.

Y i did. But idk what i did wrong and couldnt controll it. If u let it on for more than 1 min the wave would expand so much as it could shut down other house equipments. Need to retest it and do some mod to make it work. But hvnt had time (Work + University)

I can post pic of it how it is now. But to post a tutorial need to diasemble it and find the parts in the net to help you make that. It would take some time but ill be glad to help you.

I for one would be really interested in seeing something like that. Work and school are more important, but whenever you get around to any details of how you made a DIY EMP that would be way cool!

@Prototype18

If you want to build a laser yourself why not look into the tutorial section's stickies for example.
One of them is DTR's tutorials. It outlines several builds nicely. In addition why not search the forum for tutorials.
Here is my second laser: http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/diy-lpc-815-0-45a-ehgemus-easy-build-host-flexdrive-v5-55565.html

I built it after making bluray laser following a tutorial found on google. Seriously if you built an EMP generator I don't see why this should be any difficult for you.

Search and lurk!

P.S. Just googled this: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-high-power-burning-blueray-laser-Ea/
