Really?

Thats not too bad, so 50mw should be in the 300-400 range?

I would be willing to spring out that much, what about their quality? I dont want to spend all that money to have a TEM01 laser though? Do you have any first hand experience with their lasers andy?

Thanks

I have one too - the only bad thing with mine (other than the fact that it took over 6 months for me to get the darned thing! I had ordered it thru Psuedonomen137 and he was close to giving up on trying to get it...+ there were other problems with the order - so you might wait a while...) is that the beam quality was pretty lousy until I was able to fiddle with the lens to get the beam size down and get rid of the apparent multi-modes. But that might have happened during shipping...either way it runs fine and the beam quality is good now.

i 4 lasever modules, all ordered direct from lasever. shipping is very quick.

the beams on mine are very good and each is focusable.

I gotta say I am not too impressed with lasever. I sold two blue modules and a red one that were pretty decent (shrecken's 100mW 473nm, a 50mW blue, and a 800mW 660nm), but that's it. I have two lasever green modules right now - both in a horrible state of disrepair. Very poor quality even on many of their modules. If you're looking for an absolute bottom dollar solution their modules may do the trick, but when any reliability or performance requirments factor in, I try to avoid lasever (not to mention they tried to rip me off in the past).

Their portables though were horribly priced last I inquired. Nothing like the deals you get on the modules. Lasever's poor module quality was offset by their low prices, but if they don't have the same rock bottom pricing on their portables, I don't see any reason to take that risk. I can't claim to have personally tested any of the lasever portables yet, but judging from my past experiences, I would be expecting something along the lines of DX quality (IE, total crap on a good day) without DX pricing. Whether you can actually pull 50mW 473nm from one for any price is questionable and whether it will maintain it for a few months is, in my opinion, improbable (from no personal experience with their portables, so don't take my opinion too seriously).

Thanks for chiming in guys.

If you have not been 100 percent satisfied with the company...then I am going to rethink doing business with them...I mean it is a whole lot of money for a laser, then it will mode hop something will go wrond, and they wont reply to e-mails...and ill have lost too much money...

I am going to go for mainly 100 percent companies, with a well established rep. But that 82mw peak...mmmmmmmm

Andy_con thanks for the great link, another option has been added, which is always good!

Oh and ace82, as I said gonna be quite a bit before I plunge into the buy, so when you decide that it may be time to let it go...shoot me and offer, and we'll work something out!

Oh, and blue isn't that bright? I was always under the impression that blue was everybit as bright as green at the same output...hmmmm... [smiley=undecided.gif]

Thanks
brtaman

Check the "review" at my sig. There are some decent shots of what to expect from blue. It is very brilliant, just a llitle less then green since green is our (human) peak color sensitivity. Of coarse my green 225 is WAY brighter then my blue 35, but obviously thats not a very fair power comparison. It is "everybit" as bright, IMO. ;) And I'll be sure to inform you as soon as I know for sure. -Peace!
