Ugh....

As most of you know, my original plan was to continue collecting CNI labbies until I achieve a "full rainbow". Their 100% duty cycle and stability is quite nice, but you do start to miss the portability and awesomness of carrying around a good old' laser pointer.

I was taking a look at LaserGlow's site(I was going to buy from CNI, but they won't ship pointers anymore) and was eyeing their Rigel-5, with a power guarantee of 2.0mW-4.9mW. With their 25% for the holiday the prices ends up at a smackdown of $473.20, not that I blame them now that they are getting rid of stock. The original 447nm labby from DL is around $536, so almost $100 more!

Stuck and need help on this one guys :)

Re: It's killing me...

Hold on a sec, are you thinking about paying close to 500 dollars for a less than 5mw 447nm pointer?

No Red :D

The 447nm is 100mW's haha! I am asking this since it was nice having a Rigel back in the day(still no clue why I got rid of it), and seeing these prices for the holidays might be my last chance to get one for a reasonable price :)

Edit: The Rigel is 593.5 :p

Many people here (myself included) could build you a lab module with the same specs for HALF that and still make a wicked profit.
