SFG experiment

Has anyone ever tried PBSing a two individual beams like 1046+1319 and then putting that beam thorough a NLO. Through all the scientific experiments I've read I have never heard it done this way. I know that he beams would eventually come out of alignment but it would be interesting to see its effects on efficiency.

But both of those wavelengths can be created in a Nd crystal at the same time. Why would you want to have two and then go to the trouble of combining them?

Perhaps to induce lasing action in the secondary crystal, while being able to control the line dominance ratio within the cavity.

Need a proper line power ratio to achieve an optimized SFG on a specific line? Can't find the proper coatings on all the optics that you'll need?

Assuming the 1064 was typo'd, this is 589 we're talking about which is a well established process. I'm all for improvements to existing tech, but doubling the materials cost and adding many alignment steps in exchange for a moderate increase in efficiency seems silly to me.
