replacing the c-mount in a 473nm

I'm thinking of changing the pump diode and driver.
Lasever proposed me the diode and driver for 140$ shipping included.
I know it's hard work to repair for position, distance, orientation of the diode.
do you think it's worth repair the module?
Has anyone already changed a c-mount in a module?
I don't know if Numquamretro could change the c-mount in his 800mw 532nm module, it's the same interior module:http://laserpointerforums.com/f45/now-its-dead-800mw-lasever-module-87404.html
Is there any chance for me to repair it?
