Damn, Zach. That hurts me to know you lost that diode. I do have a boost driver coming from a Chinese supplier. They don't say what the current range is, but I believe it is able to get to 7 VDC. I'll know much more once it gets here. If it turns out to be a decent driver it is only $7.98 with free shipping.

I got Joeybab's PTL5-488 diode today. I'm waiting to hear back from him about the type of module he wants before I start testing it. Hope it's the real thing as there aren't any identifying marks on it to distinguish it from other diodes.

The real 503nm diodes are getting as scarce as hen's teeth. I sent the last extra one I had to BowtieGuy and I don't know where there are any more. I have a driver coming that if it checks out might be perfect for the 503nm I have. It's a boost driver capable of 7.5 VDC Vf, though I won't know the current limits until it gets here. It does have a pot on it for adjustment. I still have an SB1473N91 that is case neutral. Should look pretty cool in the green 501B I have for it.

Those listing are from the same place. Existotem and Newgazer are the same company. It would seem that these are the lower WL diodes, but you will only know that by buying one. They have been known to bait and switch. For someone who is desperate to get one of these diodes, it is a possibility.

Cmon somebody here on the forum asked them to take a photo of the number on the can and they did and it is the number of the lower 505,s. There was someone els who bought a few to test and has not yet told the results as far as I know!

It's your best bet on getting a lower one anyway!

I agree. If you need a 503nm diode, these listings are your best bet to get one. I hope they are the lower ones and not the SB147EC91s.

If the statement with the photo could be confirmed or even better, the person who bought some can show some results, I would immediately order > 5 pieces with express shipping and bin them

If you are really trying to get these lower wavelength 505nm diodes, sinlgemode, I'd order 5 from Sharp 505nm 35mW Green Laser Diode/5.6mm/Brand new/1 pcs | eBay
These are selling for $36.50 each and because the listing has the photo of the SB1573N91, you are protected if they ship out the wrong diodes. These listing have a tendency to disappear very quickly. If you want them, I wouldn't delay.

If it would help, you can have them shipped to me and I can verify the wavelength for you.

Nice to know that I can send the diodes back if they send the wrong ones. Thank you for the info and for the offer. Bu I own a calibrated spectro and I just could't wait to get theses diodes in my hands.

I just ordered 5 diodes from them. Could not choose the express shipping. Hope I can change this later, when the confirmation mail arrives. If not it will be waiting time ;)
