As most of you know, I have been in good Communication with David Lanling from Lanling Tech. I have managed to convince him to drop his prices on his blue Labbys, as I desperately want one some day, so he has dropped his best buy down to under £399. (That is a drop of nearly $60).

As you also know, he Knows of LPF and is very keen to get his products noticed here, and our forum discount still applies at this new price. ;D ;D ;D.

All his Labbys come with Dedicated driver boards, that autosense 90-240V AC and have a TTL input to support 30Khz Blanking, if you so need it.
He does NOT sell Laser Pointers , he only sells "Labby" Style Laser modules and pre built laser shows, But the 2 Labbys , I have from him Have top quality beam specs, and duty cycles, and are perfect for laser photos, videos and Optics experiments, that require little or no duty cycle and Excellent beam specs. so it is only a very small Niche in the Amateur laser business, and you can understand why he needs as much exposure as possible.

My word alone, does not count for much, but Senkat and "Things" have both been in contact with him, so maybe they can add something here.

So Who Gains you ask?

1. Well obviously he does, for Greater exposure of his products on the forum.

2. We all Gain , with him offering a Generous discount to forum members, who are interested in trying out Labbys or lasershows

3. Me? Well I hope so, If he gets good exposure, he will offer me a cost price on a blue, when i can afford that. (Wife and 2 young kids kinda eats all my spare cash)

Oh did I forget his warranty offer? 3 months instant RMA, with 9 months Extended (for free) for fixing (Total of 12 Months).

If anyone is Uncomfortable about mailing him direct, and you are interested in any of his lab modules or lasershows, then PM me and I will ask him on your behalf for his best deal. But all I ask is no Timewasters, as I have built up a good rapport with him, and dont want to spoil the relationship for the sake of forum members you are Genuinely interested in a good deal, and for the sake of our Generous forum discount.

Here is the new link of his discounted Blue (remember the forum discount still applies to this new price)

Sorry to rain on this party here, but I think I could offer a better price on a better laser
(yep, just checked on teh xchange rate and thats $814. Send me a PM if you're looking into a blue labby! I can do a good bit better on a better laser - expecially if we can organize 2 or 3 people at once for a GB, but even on a single laser I'll beat that price)

Pseudo, I expected this reply from you first ;) You are becoming very predictable ;) This price is for Ebayer buyers, LPF still gets a discount on this "Buy now" price, (for him to decide and not me) .

So post a price , including shipping , and lets see how they compare. This is a selfless offer with minimal profit, for forum members to own a Kickass blue.

Let us all hear your best offer on a 50-65mw blue and lets hear the forum decide what is best. (in other words if you can do a blue cheaper for forum members, then do it, don't hold back)

Over to you.

Haha, sorry about that. If the quality of the laser were better I may have held my breath here, but when you have something like that and without analog modulation, at a better price... well you see where I'm going. I'm not saying there's any problem with that seller, just saying I think you can find better.

The specs on the lasers are pretty similar except the ones I have access too offer 20khz analog modulation for anyone who's serious about lasershows (I gotta say, a TTL-only blue intended for lasershows? Only if its a standalone perhaps, that just won't cut it for RGBs)

So for pricing. I prefer to work on deals one-on-one, but if you're gunna force me to come out with a price lets go with $715 plus shipping to get a 50mW OEM style with power cert (OEM style means the head and PSU are smaller than the ones in the auction, but you need to stick a regular $1 CPU fan on it if you want continuous runtime). Add $65 to that price for full non-OEM which comes with an adjustable, single unit PSU instead of those 2 part laptop + laser PSUs, and a heavier heatsinked head with aperture shutter.

Now that's just for a 50mW for one person. If we get just two people on one the prices are subject to dop by $70+ because of the overhead fees that can be cut out. Also, these lasers come up to 200mW in the non-OEM style and the prices get more and more attractive as you up the power.

PM me for more details though, this price is just an estimate I'm throwing out here cuz you're forcing me to :D. The prices can be tailored from case-to-case.

Good for you Pseud :), Sorry to call your hand like that, but competition is good for everyone, it eventually forces prices down, and that is only a good thing for our forum members, I will see if I can get him to drop his price even further. ;)

As for TTL against analog: Yes Analog offers control over the power of the laser, as opposed to TTL just switching the laser on and off, but "wont cut it as an RGB"? That is not true, TTL modulation is perfectly fine for a 7 colour RGB setup, you just wont be able to subtly alter the huhes to give the impression of thousands of colours.

Things: His Ebay auctions are just Examples from his shop and the deal and discount that he gives to us are available at anytime, so just ignore the auction end time.

China is 12 hours (Give or take a few) from us, so your mail could have been sent to him in the middle of his night, but he is very good at replying and I guess it wont be long before you hear from him.

Hey guys, if you're looking to do a group buy or even if you just want a single blue laser module, Laserglow has a few in stock right now that we could let go for a really good price. All of these are 473nm lasers with AC power supply and drivers included, with TTL modulation up to 10kHz and our standard 12-month warranty. Lab test results and pricing are below:

85mW, 2.85% RMS stability = USD $800
120mW, 7.9% RMS stability = USD $1200
159mW 10% RMS stability = USD $1450

These lasers are in stock and can ship out right away! If anybody is interested in a group buy for 2 or 3 of these, please let me know and I may be able to work the pricing down a little more. This is really a great deal on some very nice lasers, and you can count on Laserglow to stand behind these specs 100%.
