Just wondering. Years ago I'm sure people were wanting a green diode bad. Now we got the osram diode and we can say "yay no more modules" so maybe our pals at osram got something cooking. They seem to make some great diodes. Hopefully either them or nichia will eventually get a yellow under way. A man can hope :)

Seems difficult at best... they pushed the InGaN materials from violet to royal blue and now to green... might be an entirely new material for yellow

I would think it would be a new material. But hey new things are discovered every single day. The new material could be discovered tommorow and a yellow diode available cheaply in 3-4 years. Once again a man can hope right :)

Holy colorful handheld batman! Me wants. I sent him a MSG to see if he had any tips or anything. No response yet. Has anyone ever made a yellow with the osram 520? Because it would be so helpful to use a diode.
