Hi,
Just finished a Chinese host but with a twist, I did it the AMERICAN way. No Chinese components in this build, and its repairable instead of sending it back across the Atlantic .
In it is,,
1) PLTB450B diode
2) X Drive set to 1.8A
3) G2 lens
4) 2-16340 AW Cells
5) Custom focus knob
Hope you like it folks this was a fun build....

Rich:)

Nice turn around. I have had the pleasure of Americanizing a china host. The satisfaction of making a mass produced object a thing of its own. That's a nice host to begin with. I read the 450b has a superb beam spec for a MM. Do you confirm?

Hi,
I enjoyed the build and am doing another of the same but with a different diode. Yes i do like thePLTB better than the M140 for beam specs and also the WL..
Thanks for the reply alway good to hear feed back pal ..

Double the power, and infinitely repairable! Better watch out Lifetime or people with dead Thor's may be knocking down your door. Heee, Might even be worth the up grade even if their not dead! They definitely are a good looking host. Great job! Two thumbs up !

Is the diode module pressed into the original focusing head of the host? I just got this same generic laser/host today and I was wondering how I would place a new module in if I removed the 532 module.

Hi LIL,
i put the crenelated threaded head in the lathe and bored out the hole to 12mm. Then i drilled a # 35 drill hole and tapped the head with a 4-40 thread and set screw. The head is now acting as the heat sink with the 12mm module. As you will see in the pics.. Thank you for looking pal
