Define cheap. The 593nm pens cost couple of hundreds of dollars.

If you truly want to get above 600nm, you are going to have to go into gas anyway.

A 612nm HeNe could run you >$500

I know Meredith Instruments has a 1.62mW 612nm HeNe head only for sale for $300. It's a used gas laser. That's your best option if you want a 600nm to 620nm laser

600-620nm handheld? Contact CNI and ask if they can put one of their new 604 or 607nm systems into a handheld. Expect at leat $XXX, of not $X,XXX

Yea, as far as I know 600nm pointers have yet to be created....

When 2 guys on LPF asked CNI to make the first 556nm it cost $X,XXX if not more.

Expect at least $500(that's the minimum price).

Edit: May not be sure, but I think 635nm or somewhere near there is the closest you can get to orange(in pointers).

The CNI 604 and 607 modules can not be placed in a handheld and the 607 at least was quoted at $4900. Cheap... not going to happen. you could try to analog modulate a 515 and a 635/50 and get an orange mix.
