Dave you should get a nice HeCd laser.

I've had three of them "broken" in shipping. Right now one is sitting in my garage because UPS tore the box open in shipping and the power source "fell out" and no one recovered it  They taped up the "blown out" corner and pretended that nothing happened.

Peace,
dave

i work at ups, claim it if they really messed it up dave.  ;)

They didn't "mess it up." They tore open the box and lost part of it! The package was charged at pickup at 40 pounds. It contained a laser and a matching power supply. When it arrived at my house (with one corner blown out and the damage taped over), it weighed 28 pounds and only contained the laser

You would think that someone might notice the big heavy black metal box that fell out of the package before taping over the blown out corner wouldn't you?

The seller will make it right even if they can't get anything back from UPS. We've done business several times before

Peace,
dave

Cu vapor.. That's what you need... Those are pretty awesome, though. I'm especially partial to multi-line ions.

I'm not sure why you guys have so much trouble with UPS. I've received packages several times from them and they all came without any damage.

I received over 100 packages last year with only three arriving damaged. Two of those were the sender's fault.

It's just sad that this one was a matched laser and power supply :'(

"11mW at 10mA" But I'm sure he meant to say 10A.

very awesome... I tried to get one of those but always forgot to check the auction before it ended...

458 is awesome.

I have a 442nm HeCd coming, but I've had such bad luck with glass and lasers that I'm not holding my breath. We'll see that happens I guess.....
