I couldn't find a way to reply to my original post so I have to start a new one using the same title. (I'm still in learning mode) :)

Using suggestions/feedback from forum members I went back and did more searching and have ended up with this one as a possibility.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

Can anyone offer a critique of this unit and an educated guess as to whether this will meet my needs (in my original post)

Thanks for all the help so far. I couldn't have gotten to this point without your help.

yea less than 5mw umm u cant do anything with that other than stare at the near invisible beam

That Laser is Labeled <200mW....
I would guarantee that the Laser is outputting more
towards the 100mW range than the required by eBay
<5mW to post a listing..

That wave length is even more difficult than 808nm to
see with the naked eye...

Since you can't see the beam or beam profile it is even
more dangerous without safety Goggles because you
don't even know when/if you get a direct hit in the eyes.
