New project, need guidance

Yep so I'm building my first laser, thanks to some guidance from a former, I'm now here. So, what I want... I see this 808nm diode on eBay, relatively cheap but a trusted seller. I was thinking maybe to buy a "just add diode kit" from Mohgasm. If I do this, would it be hard to assemble the laser? Here is a link to the diode.

I guess my problem is, will I even be able to assemble this. I have little experience with lasers, but I am good at building things. I don't want to spend all this money to not be able to put it together, an leave it sitting around for a long time.

Sorry, I thought I was told to post a thread here!

Did a Mod or Veteran Member tell you that...:thinking:

You will need to ask a Mod to merge the 2 Threads or
Delete or Close one of them...

BTW IR would be in the Red Laser Section...

I think he thought i told him to open up a new thread in this section... OP i was just telling you there should be more info in the section. BUT, the IR info wont be in the red laser section. You're in the right section.

Yes I will close the other thread straight away. I decided you were right, it would be a lot safer and fun to have a non- IR laser. So I found another diode which should work the same, I'll post it in the new thread. Many thanks LB.
