I´m currently checking out the guy selling this laser Blauer Laserpointer BLUE LASER NEU 473nm < 5 mW

For me there is no reason to sell it that cheap and this guy only got feedback from people who bought 1-3 other things on this page. So could also be the other accounts of this seller.
I´m bombarding him with questions, maybe an other one who speaks german (...or english) can ask him about the laser ;)

Edit: The guy told me that his University gets the lasers from CNI

Edit2: show me your interest if you want me to translate into english
Hallo,

almigo

Try Google Translate

and as good a deal as this sounds, I am pretty skeptical... maybe there's something wrong with the laser (underspec, problems, etc.) but is still technically an LG Aquarius 5? But in that case, he should just use the LG warranty...

peace & thanks

nice! yea the 5 and the 20 are both priced very sweetly (who would buy the 10mW? I mean unless of course they specifically needed that power level)

you'd better post some sweet pics/review when you get it! btw CNI pulses these at 700hz right? they do 2000hz for the LG's...

peace & thanks

ya it was a good price. i will take some pics and beamshots, and post a review. im not sure what these are pulsed at, but both DL and LG are pulsed at 2000Hz, would hope it would be higher than 700Hz, but there wouldnt be any noticeable difference anyhow.

what scary is my Aquarius Pro is CW. I don't know why. It burns stuff, easily. I don't know if it's a fluke, or what. As far as I know, it's not *supposed* to be CW.

the aquarius pro is normally pulsed at 700Hz, i didnt think LG sold CW 473nm lasers. did you ask for CW?

Nope, I didn't... I wondered if maybe the "pulsing" circuit was defective or something, if that was even possible... The output is odd; 37mW avg, 80mW peak; and it really does do that after warmup.

Have had it for a while now with no problems. It's one bright 473. Burns black paper, black foam rubber, CD cases, etc, with no problem at all.

It's absolutely, definitely CW. So I'm not sure what's up with it; My first Aquarius (Aq10) was 700hz pulsed. That was certainly noticeable. My Spartan is 2000hz pulsed. This AqPro is absolutely CW.

a pulsed laser can still burn things. but thats pretty cool if they did send you a CW, i was looking into the 473nm RPL as that is CW, but the price was a quick turnaway.
i think you can use a really good camera while moving the dot really fast to look for breaks in the 'line'
