I just noticed a new part added for laserpointers on Dragonlasers. (tab: Other)

They have up to 400mW near IR laserpointers for sale. Although the prices are not stated at their site,. i made a chat for price indications. This is the response.

808nm :
200mw $270
300mW $310
400mW $350

Too bad they don't sell any laser goggles for protection. These (near) IR lasers gives me the creeps knowing there's no standard protection goggle needed to purchase one.

If anything I'd get the 980nm (IR) CNI, but why does it say 15mRad?

Thanks for the info SenKat. I send Pseudo a PM for more info about the options he has.

Quote from DL chat: "Its the buyers responsibility to make sure he gets goggles before using these lasers"
I know this makes sense to more advanced laser users or hobbyists, however they don't ask before selling it to anyone. I don't want to imagine what could happen when a new laser hobbyist decides to go for high burning power without goggles.. :-/ /. makes me feel worried a bit actually.. ( i was a newbie as well,.. maybe still a bit.. but at least informed about the risks that are involved with IR)

Yep, please talk to me before dealing with the DL scumbags. I'm selling the same stuff, you can read about them here: http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1184825668, including free US shipping, a power cert (not offered by DL because they're lying bastards, costs $30 from nova), and protective goggles ($100-150 normally, though I got them cheap thanks to stevetexas)

and all that for over $50 less than DL asks for the laser alone!

Not to mention I have these with my right now, none of that backordered "customs" BS DL gives you.

Laq, I got your PM. I'm just back from a 25 mile bike ride so I'm pretty tired right now, but I'll get back to you with more info after I wake up.

Good to know !
No rush involved.

I really am glad i joined this community, just to know there are alot of knowledge and responsibility amongst each other.
everyone that joins as a laser hobbyist should at least read all of this forum before purchasing anything at all :)

Very important to have a non-commercial balanced forum like LPF ! ;)
