my he-ne laser

so im new here and hi to all
i have had two he-ne laser siting in my garage now for a year i got them of a friend and did not have a power supply for them i think this MASTECH VARIABLE DC POWER SUPPLY (HY1803D)0-18 V/ 0-3A will work . eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
for this and any other i may do later . what do you guys think ?
i need 9 to 16 v and .76amp i have mounted this transformer to a peace of wood to reduce conductivity

It will work, but it isn't practical. Bench power supplies are meant for testing things. They aren't meant as permanent supplies - they're too expensive. This is a lot cheaper.
