Great job Rich. +2 for you good sir. I love sinners hosts. I'm realizing I'm going to have to take an in town holiday to get some builds done. Works been very busy this winter which is great but leaves me with very little free time for the hobby. I have 6 diodes and drivers ready to go into an assortment of hosts.
Nice work.

Hi,
Yes i thought to it was a good time to take a hiatus . The hustle and bustle is over it cold outside not to much to do. Well why not build bunch of lasers I to have about 9 or 10 diodes and drivers to build some were going to be busy my friend.
Thank you so much for looking at my builds i do the same for yours also. Quality and effort in a build is where it counts i say . If someone wants to buy a build there getting a quality item not some fly by night outfit across the pond. Not saying there all bad there are a lot of companies that have great product. i my self like to do it myself for satisfaction knowing it's done right the first time.

Thank You my Friend Rich:)

Hi,
Pman, thanks for the compliment coming from the pen guru. always welcome buddy :)

@ Alex, Heat sinking is much more stable than the 66 pens. You have to note that the 66 pens only sink is the CU module and the host it self is to thin to absorb real amount of heat.
So basically this pen is an entire heat sink, But duty cycles should always be conservative in small builds like this.

@ Jersag, build your pen and take it slow it will get done. We don't want any casualties it cost to much. Make every penny count ...

Great question. I would guess it does since the entire host is one big heat sink. I also love copper such a beautiful metal but when polished they show every little fingerprint and tarnish quickly. In the Marine's we had anodized brass hardware for our uniforms I always wondered if these all copper hosts couldn't be anodized so they stay polished and don't make your hands smell after touching them. You would have to remove the anodizing to make contact so the circuit is complete I'm guessing.

Hi OM,
Yes the anodizing will have to be removed to make grounding sufficient . The copper is awesome metal and the tiny scratches well we can't have it all, i put them to the muslin wheel once in a while once you see them shine bright it over comes the tiny imperfections .
That i can live with as long as it keeps sucking up all that heat from the diode.
I'm not sure if it was you or not but i think you said if i'm not mistaken a clear coat of some sort might be the answer here..Thanks for input on this awesome Pal..
