Okay, ill do that. I should get his camera tomorrow i just called.

BTW The site advertises it as TEM00 but its actually more like TEM00-TEM01. That happens due to the temp. of the laser right?

Yeah, mode hopping is due to the temperature of the laser.

It may also be due to the crystals being misaligned, or damaged crystals.

But if the beam starts out in TEM00, and changes after a while, it's temperature related.

Okay good, because at cold temperatures it is TEM00, so its probably (and hopefully) not the alignment.

Anyway, expect pics tomorrow.

OK, thanks.

Be sure to observe a duty cycle when using it (1 minute on, one minute off). It allows the crystals to cool and settle back down.

Most lasers (including CNI's blue PGLs) can't hold a clean TEM00 beam without adequate cooling.

Okay, im just going to link to the album, ill just say some info about some of them.

Picture album here.

First pic - mode hopped to TEM01 as seen in beam

Second pic - mode hopped again back to TEM00

Third pic - spot on wall around 10 feet away

Fourth pic - spot on wall around 2 feet away (and my attempt to show more detail in the spot but that didnt work)

Fifth pic - laser compared to arctic, without an extra lens on the arctic the 473 is larger, but with a lens on teh arctic it is larger

Sixth pic - tried to show what the warning label said, it says "Visible and Invisible laser Radiation" So there is NO IR filter on this, and the IR is visible with WL's goggles on. Id recomment getting a filter if youre getting this laser.

The rest are really beamshots and the spot at various distances, except the last which i tried to get teh TEM01 spot, which took a long time to actually get on this camera.

All in all this is a good laser as long as its cooled, and i do recomend buying it because this is just an awesome color (in my opinion) and its at a good price for the color and host.

Anyway, thanks for the picutres. I'm considering picking up a nice blue portable when I get some more cash.

You should review this laser- spread the word- get more people onto it, because at this rate it's the cheapest 473nm portable on the internet.

FS: 15mW Oceanus (473nm)
I'm selling my 15mW Oceanus. I bought this from pseudonomen137 1 year ago. It works great although it may take a bit to warm up to full power. It starts out in TEM01 but it is TEM00 once it warms up. I'm selling this with a charger and 3 batteries for $550.

Shipping with insurance, tracking and signature confirmation is included in the price for U.S. buyers in the lower 48. There may be an additional small fee for those in Alaska and Hawaii. I am willing to sell to others outside of the U.S. I will not be held responsible if it is confiscated though. I'd be more willing to help out in that type of situation if it was a small laser.
