Updated 4/25/2016 - After going back to work last week I began using this new pointer. Thursday and Friday I used it very very briefly at a conference and today I used it during my training class. It was not used for long. The normal average use of briefly pointing out buttons on the projection screen. All was well and good until about 3:45pm today. I have tried new batteries. I am actually quite upset now. Totally not about the money. I've opened another case, this time to return it for a refund. I will NOT be waiting on another if I have a choice. I do not want to be disappointed again. It really was a beautiful pen and a beautiful color. I'll make a video and maybe it will turn out.
Updated 3/23: Finally received the replacement unit. Took photos and put it back in the box and stuck it in rice... Just for good measure. The sellers advised that the prior one "could have condensation from shipping"... I mean I really really doubt it... but I'm not willing to wait another month or three. I will continue to buy from Laserlands (Besram) but go in knowing you are going to waaaaaiiiiiiit. I'll update with photos once I can drop in some batteries and I get a chance.
Updated 3/8:
Finally received my unit yesterday. Put batteries from my 532nm pen in it. It lased very well and was much brighter than 5mw. I decided to grab a few pictures to upload. After 4 pictures (it was not on the whole time, only on for each picture) with maybe a 10-20 second runtime each picture (max)... the damn thing went dim. When I say dim... my camera won't even pick it up. I'm going to grab some new batteries at lunch today just to double check, but the batteries still have no issue powering my 532nm pen. All this after waiting since 1/26... not pleased... at all. My only saving grace is that because shipping took over 30 days they did ship out another unit about a week and a half ago or so... maybe it won't be junk. I did send them an ebay message asking how they want to get their dead unit back... I didn't expect much for 20 bucks... but I did expect more than this.:cryyy::banghead::scowl:
So I placed the order for ~19.00 for This
<5mW 445nm 450nm Blue Ray Portable Laser Lazer Pointer Point Pen
Do you think it will show up as a 405nm? I'm asking because of the "Blue Ray" portion of the title. I have seen others here that have purchased and been happy with LaserLands, so I thought I'd give it a shot at less than 20 bux. I will post my Summary. (I will call it a summary to avoid backlash if I call it a review as I don't have a spectro or an LPM)
