Earlier this morning I went ahead and bought a Rigel-2 for myself :) I was really debating whether to get a 589 pointer or a 594 to finish off my collection, and after reviewing some threads and spending hours on the decision decided to get a 594 :)

It should get here tomorrow, I opted for overnight shipping. That is if customs don't play with it tonight...... :pop: And I'll see about doing some pictures for you :)

Best of luck with this one! Enjoy it.
Consider getting it's companion yellow 589nm as well if as you say " yellow is going to definitely be the center piece of my collection"

Many consider 593nm/594nm orange or orange yellow---some consider 589nm orange also.
see: Orange Laser, 593 nm orange laser, 589 nm 594nm orange laser

Same goes for bio-research/lab people see:

Others consider 589nm and 594nm yellow and 612nm orange see:
Helium Neon (HeNe) Lasers --go figure

Regardless of whatever anyone calls it color-wise , 593.5nm is name enough and it is a magnificent wavelength to behold visually.
Enjoy it and post images --some nice beam shots as well as dot

Didn't you have a 594? It's so hard to keep up with you "collection". It changes every hour!!! And when are you gonna start building? Gotta start ruining some diodes sometime... hehe
