How much do I power these at and how much will I expect for an output?

I am planing on using only a cap and a resistor for a driver, so do I use the voltage drawn for the drode or the voltage of the battery for v=ir. and wht voltahe does the diode use?

I have one running at 150ma for 90mW. It doesn't get hot really so can propably be pushed a bit.
I'm not sure how the maths works for v=ir but the IR only has a voltage drop of about 2.5V, less even.

for the v (in v=ir) do I use the voltage drop of the diode or the output of the battery?

You do the voltage of the batteries minus the voltage drop of the diode.
