That is a rare item you ask for - what specific wavelength are you looking at ?

shortwave is ~220-260nm.

very few lasers in that category. a excimer laser ( 157 nm, 193 nm, 248 nm, 308 nm and 351 nm )or a YAG in the 4th (266nm )or 5th (213nm ) harmonic would do it. Hope you have $10k+ laying around to buy a used one.

if you have a medical license, you could make up the difference in a week or so doing medical procedures with it...   ;D ;D

How far away can I light a match with it?

never tried it while I had access to them during my residency - Ophthalmologists and Dermatologists tend to frown on lighting matches with their expensive toys...

I would guess not to far (mm - cm's) - the surgical procedures are done up close to minimize any error due to the surgeons hand, so probably focused within 1-5 cm's.

The more distance you add to the equation, the greater the effect of a small movement.

LOL. I can't believe I got a serious answer to that question. Sorry if I wasted your time with that!

Laserglow sells UV laser modules at 355nm and 266nm. Most specs are not on our website but please contact me at work for pricing and specs: sales@laserglow.com or 416.729.7976.

(PS. We are closed on Monday for a Canadian long weekend so contact me Tuesday at the earliest!)

Dosen't thinklasers have some UV lasers?  :-? Maybe I missed the point (probably), but check it out anyway.  :D

I would not recommend thinklasers to anyone ! It has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the owner is nothing but a scamming scumbag - so be careful if you go there...I mena, if you do not mind losing money, be my guest, but otherwise, I would steer clear of them !

blu ray is 405nm. it's not even uv technically.

shortwave uv is ~300nm or less.
