Where can I get a reasonably priced pair of goggles that will cover 808-like 1100nm? I figure I should get a pair that covers it all. Also I need them to be good enough to handle 3-6W or so.

The mode and ratings are the CE certification information.

D = Continuous Wave lasers (>0.25 sec)
I = Pulsed lasers (1us - 0.25 sec)
R = Short pulsed mode (1ns - 1us)
M = mode locked lasers (<1ns pulse)

L1-L10 is the OD, L1 is OD1, L10 is OD10

I have a similar need for goggles and ended up on this site:

http://skylaser.cn/safety.asp

Do the specs conform to understood safety requirements?

EN??? etc, etc, etc.

I'm was looking at type 4 for goggles that covered for green and IR.

Although I thought shipping was pricey to the UK, the quote for the goggles themselves was surprisingly cheap, (circa $50-60US depending on model etc.)

Is there a catch?

M :)

Mr Frothy, thanks for the reply. I know you are the chimp to talk to when it comes to protective specs.  ;)
