I really don't know to be honest. I imagine the ones in the BINS are rejects that failed burn in: they may be dead, off wavelength, high threashold, multimode, mode hopping, slightly misaligned die or??? I'll probably sell them on LPF for about $25 for a 2x2parts bag full as they are... Needless to say with the volume of all the other stuff i bought, i won't have the time to test these.

FWIW These are probably mostly high power reds and the C-mounts/others will probably be IR.

The ones in the trays or in boxes on the shelves are probably good and tested. I mised the lot of half assembled untested ones and bare dies.

It will be up on ebay and here in about 2 weeks, I'm flying to get it on Wednesday.

Any idea how powerful the c-mounts are?
Are you gonna be selling them?

I talked to the guy who set up the auction today. While he didn't have any specific information about the diodes, I asked if there was any specific or common wavelength but he said something to the effect of "they're all over the place in terms of wavelength"

So have fun sorting em out  ;D
