Yea not that worried I think paypal will work it out as they have not replied to the claim either. Just updating from where we left off after their last message.

I just sent them another message, others should also, I hope it helps Jordan!

Yep, this is definitely a time where having three e-mail addresses helps. ;) Messages sent!

Edit: DTR can't believe you took those kinda chances, I definitely wouldn't have. Great job for stepping up, that's a huge loss. Good thing Paypal is around but I'm sure the time and frustration can't be refunded. Next time let's all just be a little more careful yea?

Sometimes you have to take chances. There were two ways this could have gone and regardless of which way good info for the community was added.

Still no communication from them but the paypal case just closed in my favor since they did not bother to respond to it. But I still got hosed a bit. Lost $110 in the new conversion rate and the $40 shipping as they used my DHL account to ship them to me. But at least that is only about $150 not the full amount. Does make me want to make sure all future payments are in USD that way the seller can get the loss/gain in the end if there is a refund.

They really should refund your loss as well as pay shipping back.

So here's the quote for the Nd:YAG PPLN crystal for 561nm

Pt1ozTb.png

it is approximately $54 per crystal which is a lot cheaper than I thought. I will probably take your advice diachi and build a 532 one first, then perhaps purchase this one.

I think you may be reading that wrong... That's not $54/unit that's $540/unit for an order quantity of 10, so if you ordered 10 it'd be $5400.

I am looking to build a 561nm YAG driven NL crystal laser myself, can you show me what this unit is for 540 dollars? I see it is some kind of YAG and a NL crystal for 561nm together in a package deal, or just the NL crystal? Not that I will be ordering one, I have that already but interested in what you are looking at. Maybe I can help, since I've been googling this same thing for a couple of weeks now.

Edit: This? http://www.shalomeo.com/product/las...crystals-series-products/module-561nm-81.html

Yes, I believe it is that. Sean may want to confirm.

Sean, did they offer any detailed specs?

I had no idea microchip 561nm lasers even existed in any usable form lol. But I guess with the efficiency boost from the periodic poling it makes sense.

I will post the link to the product when I have some time tomorrow. I just got a new job and they're working me very hard so I don't have much time during training. Just check back tomorrow and I'll ask about specs.

EDIT
Just saw that link and yes that is it

How is it pasting a link takes longer than writing out those several sentences of excuses?
