Howdy All I have had this one on the back burner for some time and thought it's a good time to finish it so here it is. A CREE L6 Host it has room for two 18650 cell or three CR123 I'm running it with the two 18650's and a DDL driver heat sunk to the back of the finned heatsink. the driver is pushing a LCC diode from a GGW sled @ 401mA for a power output of 238mW with a Aixiz gass lens. one of the cool features this laser has that sets it aside from all other hand lasers beside the custom masive heatsink is that is has two power levels, it can be run full out or at half power in " Diode Saver Mode" this will still give you a 150mW beam and continious run time.

power here shows 271mW with DFW hi-power lens

power here shows 234mW with Aixiz glass lens.

this drivers regulator chip is heat sunk to the back of the finned heatsink.

this aluminum ring grounds everything and holds the + battery connection in place.

I love the idea of "Diode Saver mode". It would probably only be doable in big hosts like this though I am assuming.

Well I can put it in most any host realy ! I built the driver in this one and it dose like to work best with my drivers hehehe...

Best Regards Pyro...

Flaminpyro;

Nice work on the extended heatsink & two-level driver.

271mw/238mw gives you a 14% power increase for the Hi-Power,
over the Aixiz glass lens.

Thanks for the report.

P.S. you need some Sanyo #18650's in that photo

Yes I know I should have used the superior cells in the photo but I opted for the more recanizable one the "brushfire" brand from china. we are going to have to replace that though with a better one like the red SANYO's which is a much better cell !! as it turns out my last two Sanyo's were inside the laser.

Peace All...

One word: Massive. Nice work on the heatsink too. And good idea on the 2 mode driver.

A Pocket Mini is a single cell host. You must use a boost circuit such as a FlexDrive...

Also, there is very little room for the dirver:

Nice build Flaminpyro! :gj:
