Currently I am pretty unfamiliar with lasers.
However, I decided that I would like to build one.
What should I build?
I mean what Diode, what host, what heat sink, what driver,
what module, what lens should I use?

I was thinking an M140 ( Yes I know that's very powerful) diode.
A Three Element Glass Lens.
An Aixiz Module.
An 1.8A Driver (Don't know what kind).
A 12mm Heatsink from DIY-Lasers.
And I really don't know what host or batteries to use.
I really don't have a lot of money to spend.
Preferably less than $100.
No more than $200.
Please give me some advice.:undecided:
Also, what tools do I need beside 445nm laser glasses?
Thanks,
LAG

tool: diode press. I use a few 5.5mm M4 nuts but there's someone selling a professional machined diode press here too.

Don't forget soldering equipment and wire.

For hosts and more look at Made in LPF

And I would start with something cheaper and safer, like 200mW red. When I first started building lasers the brightness of my own harvested red startled me.
