That means osram is producing these lasers industrially, which means we might be able to get some... Exciting news!

We might need to buy a car to tear it apart, oh well :p

Six 1.6W TO56 laser diodes. I can imagine DTR buying headlights and breaking them to salvage the diodes. :crackup: I wonder what they will cost, car parts for German made cars are usually expensive.

very expensive!!! individual diodes already cost at at least $1200.... at least for the 488nm version. and the article say said they might go with single diode approach!!, hmm 1600mw of 480nm.. and what do we know about multi=mode diode? they can be pushes to achieve higher wavelength!! i'm saying 490nm+!!!!1
