Well, I found the cheapest 589's on the market! Click!

All jokes aside, I really want to buy one anyway for the hell of it. Well worth the price tag, even for a cheap greenie

Edit: Wow. I just looked at their diagram of a "DPSS" system. Apparently laser light comes from the spring... man, I gotta add that to my DPSS chart.

Also sample pieces available, and some pieces are $0.01 each, so you could get 100 for a buck xD I'm really tempted to check these, we need a couple people to get samples, then if these are legit (I HIGHLY doubt it, but still interesting) then it's definitely GB time.

Even if they're factory seconds with instability and multimode problems - if you can get them for <$60 it is worth it for even -0.5mW output.

That's what I'm thinking. $10 for 589 is really hard to pass up. Even if like you said, it has multimode issues, or perhaps TEM01/02, or .5mW, I'd still consider it a work of art.

Still, keep in mind if these are 589's not every single one is fated to be .5mW with problems. Anyway, once I figure out a "safe" way to order these things I'll mention it.

No once I get a quote I'll consider it. I'm just waiting for it. Chances are my quote will come in monday based on previous experience with chinese companies.

Aye, keep us posted on the quotes you all get. If the prices are right I'm sure a great many of us will be interested, even if the quality isn't great.

I they turn out to be legit I am interested in one. I am not a huge fan of exotic wavelengths but for a cheap price I think it would be a fine addition to my laser collection :D

Same here, yellow's been on my list for a long time. I probably wouldn't have found this without CNI stopping shipping to the US

Ya, total bummer with CNI. Oh well. I LOVE my 593.5 from LG, I really hope this pans out as I could use a couple cheap 589's.

I like to have one really awesome expensive version of something to appreciate for the artform and finesse and one cheap knock off version that I can take around and abuse.
