Hello I'm going to mix with dichro's HighTechDealZ - 650nm Aixiz Rkcstr 320mA LPC815 Red Laser Module and 200mW 532nm Green Laser Module (3V 11.9mm) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

It will have 2 potentiometers installed for getting the color of them to yellow ( I hope it will be like 250mW! :) ) 1 potentiometer that changes the power of both diodes for different power modes, And one botton that bypasses the 2 potentiometers for fixing the color so you get the wierd color but a bunch of power for burning! It will have a red indicator light and a nice heavy duty red clicky switch :). I hope I can get also a safety switch with a cover you have to twist one it with the warning sticker and on the top of the laser it has a nice big warning sticker saying its radioative and radio waves are emitted from apeture and you should avoid exposure to any living thing or clothing and not to point it at planes etc or any explosive materials and stuff like that to show my friends and to discourage people from touching it :p

OH AND I WILL MAKE IT FOCUSABLE WITH A LENSE FROM A DVD BURNER THAT FOCUSES IT TO THE EXTREME!
I found some green and red protective goggles that will also protect from my 100mW purple and 3 green lasers :)
EDIT:
Can someone tell me if they will reflect off the dichros and take alot of the power away because if it does 50/50 on all the stuff I might end up with a yellow 70mW which is not very pleasing :\ Sure yellow cool but I want my first GOOD burner :)

The red and green component will not focus to the same point... :(

May I recommend simply leaving the beam focused to infinity?

Thx but I will simply use a magnifying glass like lens for burning :)
Thx for contributing to my thread. You are the first! :thanks:

Use the dicro's from the A-140. Depending on the quality of the optics you will loose quite a bit.
The dichhro's from the projector are actually pretty good...See this thread for a test and discussion.

I used one of these in my yellow lab style build....http://laserpointerforums.com/f42/color-mixing-g-r-66705.html;)...it doesn't focus though.

You will find, just as much as you might read here, that aligning the two beams is a time consuming endeavor.
Good luck with your build, it's always worth the time to Create something on your own.

Aligning looks WAY to difficult for a 12yr with only gorilla glue to align it :\ how am I gonna do it? I wanna see the yellow beam it is my favorite color :(

EDIT:
I may just use some thick copper wire to align it then glue the thing down then remove the copper wire... Would it really be that hard to align? Should I use super glue ultra gel?

Dont beat yourself up! Age means nothing! I know you can do it :)

Besides... you cant give up now! You ordered all those pieces! :can:

Just think... if you give up now then for sure you will not ever get those colors aligned. You never know.. it may be easier than you think ^^

Well first off I would say get yourself some epoxy instead of the gorilla.

As far as alignment....well, trail and error. There is something to be said for the right tool for the job, and if your mixing in a projector type build than a kinematic mount is the way to go. For my own build it was a whole bunch of moving parts around....putting shims in...and a target at a distance so I could clearly see both the dots and align them.
As for a handheld build your looking at manufactured, either by you or someone else, parts that allow you steer the beam.
Take a look at this build by Jayrob, its very well done and may give you some insperation on how to complete your build with cheaper parts and a bit of imagination.

I'm gonna put it in something similar to a hobby box and I will use these: http://laserpointerforums.com/f46/found-cheap-aluminum-laser-mounts-aixiz-module-2-2-20-a-65195.html for aligning and a heat sink aswell as a heat sink for my other laser that I am building that should come in tomorrow :)
I have not actually ordered any parts yet.
And thanks for the guy that encouraged me to still build it you and somebody else :p

EDIT:
Maybe I will get my dad to buy me this for my birthday and I will try to find cheaper equally good alternative parts because I've been wanting to buy a couple lpc-815 to build a laser with to profit from :)

I'm sorry everyone but the budget is broken and it looks too hard. 45$ for the green laser and 45$ for the red laser then all the parts and stuff it's just too much :( screw yellow. Wait no I take that back :( I just don't have enough money yet... I'm gonna build some nice 405nm 100-200mW lasers on here or eBay just worried about fake broken lasers :'( I will make a 405nm laser for myself not sure what to put it in maybe a lazerer handhield laser casing. Now I will add up the money and see if I can build it but chances are slim.

EDIT: Never mind I'm buying a 200mW red and a 100mW un-true green for this(63$ for both good deal eh?), Trying to save money on it... ofc I will have a high power mode that will probably give mostly red and be very high power hopefully the invisible light will not be ruined :p I just forgot what dichro I need to buy (please a cheaper but okay one.)
And that will be for my birthday :) this should cost in total all the parts I'm getting (I bought all of them but the lasers and that dichro already with my own money) 100$ CHEAP! expecting 20$ dichro :p
I will have 120$ left over for my bday and I am gonna have a bit of contest or game going on you guys will like and I will two :) You get to choose what lasers I buy for 120$!!!
I will post the link to it when the thread is made.

EDIT:
here's the thread: http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/choose-what-lasers-i-buy-100-a-67551.html#post973851
the reason it is 100$ is because the goggles I found for green and purple and blue are 20$ and the green ones are 6$.
HAVE FUN I KNOW I WILL! :)

EDIT:

I am using a 200mW red actually :)

lmao WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO MAKE ??? YOU START ALL KINDS OF TOPICS AND TYREADS HERE SPAMMING YOUR ASS OFF AND YOU NEVER STOP LOL
caps*

make up your mind !!!

My 200mW green I said I will make should come tomorrow and I will build it like I said, I am building my yellow laser like I said above with 100 dollars of my bday money, I am letting other people chose the rest of my laser stuff with my other 100 dollars. I got my 30mW green in the mail like I said. Sorry for thinking as I go too much... I also a week ago ordered a 5mw green and 5mw violet to play with and compare the 5mw green to the 30mW and give accurate answers like 100mW yellow looks like 5mw green or 200mW green, I got the violet one to see if I like 405nm because I want to build one after my bday. I am doing yellow laser. I am doing green laser.
YOU ARE MEAN !!! caps* :p
I also have a broken comp with a dvd burner that I will make something out of after the green laser the yellow laser and possible 405nm laser.
I made my trydy spammy mind! :yh:
sorry ppls
Let's see if I should actually do these laser builds :undecided: (joke lol)
Well don't tell da admins or troll police :shhh: :p Tomorrow I will post a video on youtube and some beamshots and some info about my awesome yellow laser.

EDIT:
survey:

When you read this did you think surly I was stupid, Because I would like to clarify that I'm not stupid and I just wrote that stupidly and I will not do this kind of spam/troll stuff starting NOW!
