what dx green laser would be best to make a infrared laser.Would i be able to make it focusable.Would the $25 50 mw or true 30 be better.

Get the true 50. It has the same 9mm open can 808nm as the 200's do. I cant remember the power level, but I'm guessing about 500mW.

Nope, pretty easy. It just screws right out, so you can actually put them back in again if you wanted to.

...I gotta do that. *adds to list of things to do* What are the beam specs like?

I think they are 200mW standard sized closed can diodes. Dont take my word for it though, I've never ripped it apart

I don't think you have the same diode in the true 50 as in the 200....You couldn't get 200mW of green out of 500mW of IR.I do believe the DX200 uses a 1W pump , at least....

The DX200's usually only output 100mW or so of green. In another thread I'm pretty sure somebody discovered that the DX50s and the DX200s are the same, the DX200s are just the better ones so the makers put them in a different pile than the DX50s.

The 200mW sounds about right for the untrue50, considering there's quite a bit of IR in there.

I know for a fact the true 50 has a 9mm open can that looks exactly the same as the 200mW's pump. I've heard the outputs are both 500mW but again, without measuring theres no way to be sure.

Someone measured their DX200 to +200mW.Only dropped about 30mW when tested with an IR filter.of course that peak lasted only a few seconds until it got a chance to heat up.

so does any one know which loses more power, the 808nm to 1064 or the 1064 to 532.I was thinking i could just remove the 1064 to 532 nm Kristel so it wouldn't be a multi-mode dot. Thanks

I pulled out my true 30's driver out of sheer curiosity and I can't get the crystals out! They're sealed shut. Wazzup with this?
