I'm sure this topic has been brought up before, but I was thinking about salvaging my broken DX 150 into a burning IR laser. Before I waist my time on even experimenting with this, I was wondering if someone has some info or maybe some answers:
- My laser still works, the diode still works. But the crystal has been destroyed and the optics are not the best.
- Is this possible?
- Has anyone successfully accomplished this?
- Can anybody provide details, or instructions/pictures?

I would be most grateful to anyone who gives input. Thanks LPF!

Its possible, but it will be hard to collaminate the IR beam properly if your using green optics.

^Your sig, 137 Watts of Blu-Ray? HOW?

Why do you think Blu-Ray had a shortage of diodes? The first diodes were rated 13.7mW and he bought 100,000 of them and a couple of factories for the beam combiner.
