I'll get you a pretty sweet deal on an RPL-equivalent blue if you're interested. As far as portable lasers go, blue is pretty much as expensive per mW as you can get, and even an entry level blue will typically run you $450+. With that in mind, if you're still interested please send me a PM, e-mail at pseudonomen137@gmail.com, or call me at +1 (972) 5356177 and we can discuss this further ;)

You can't really make a cheap DIY blue. They use crystals made of rare materials and you need precision equipment to properly align them. The cheapest blues are all >$400 at the moment. A good blue will cost you over $1,000.

Btw I think darklandz might still be selling a used 20mw blue for around $450. Try pming him to ask about it.

THE most expensive per mW out right now is probably yellow/orange, at an average of $100+ per mW. Blue's rank second, and unless you REALLY want a blue (473nm) laser, I would just buy a 10mW violet (405nm) laser for $95 from BlueFusion.

Milos and bluefusion would be good people to go to if you want to buy a blue-ray. You could also make one yourself for much less.

lol ;D Any cool Hobby is an expensive one! ;D

P.S. I want a blue laser too! 473nm that is, already have the 405nm DIY B-R. >$500 good price for 20mW 473nm! I'd buy once I recover from my expenses from my RPL-225!

Well there's the $175 on ebay.Dr. lava has the kryton 80P which is probably the best blu-ray pointer ever made so far and probably would go for a lot of money. :p
