after a back and forth the seller and I have come to a final agreement. before I pull the trigger I would like to know if there is anything I am missing. I want this color for my spectrum collection. everything appears legit. I am just wondering if a more experienced individual and the collective wisdom of the forum can see anything that I missed.

To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

Yeah looks complete with batteries from the pictures and description. You should make an offer since the seller accepts them.

The only thing I noticed is the seller mentions it can be used for star pointing. The beam is unlikely to be bright enough for that at its power level but otherwise everything seems fine.

Personally, if you have $150 more to spend, I'd get the 589nm Spartan from DragonLasers. They're limited time only and will be gone for good soon, and they outperform this laser in many ways. The main problem with the LaserGlow yellow pointers is that they are very unreliable and unstable. The model in question uses expensive primary lithium batteries (not rechargeable) and have a very short duty cycle. Also, you're paying nearly full price for an un-metered fragile used DPSS laser off of eBay. Risky on a good day, imo.

That was just the well reasoned response I was waiting for. That makes much sense. I was told that it's too late for me to have jumped on the recent 589nm dragon laser group buy. Hopefully something else pops up soon as I really would like a yellow. Thanks for all the help.

Yeah the group buy is over but you can still purchase individually. That's what I did (prior to the GB). It's worth it IMO.

There is now a second GB for the dragon laser 589s, I for one have seen sense this time and tentatively jumped on the bandwagon. Check the group buy section for more details.
