Still waiting on the power graph from DTR. I'd set mine to whatever the highest current he'll have available on his site, if not slightly higher

Crazy how far Jordan pushed the ~476nm diode, gotta say Shar#p make some pretty tough units!!

Suppliers are all out of stock on these atm, looks like Jordan got the last of the supply, also not to sure how many he has in stock.

Oh and the pictures I posted in this thread really don't do the colors justice, a few have said the 505nm picture I put up looks towards the 515nm mark but in real there's much more aqua in it, for the one I ran @ 0.08A

Those are some pretty nice numbers even if shy of the 480nm they were sold as. Is that at recommended drive current or with a gentle nudge to red-shift them a little?

These were taken at around 175 mA to 200 mA. I've found they don't shift much after that. Hope to be getting into some 505nm diodes today. :D

Hey DTR, when is the 470nm diode going to be able for purchase? And is it supposed to use a boost driver or a X driver?

Noticed Jordan is calling these 470nm diodes and jrnpop is calling them 760nm diopdes. I think it should be 473nm as that is close to where most start out. They seem to be able to be pushed to close to 478nm for some, but I don't see any of them making it to 480nm.

Sorry for the double post, but this is important.

I have measured the WL of two of the 505nm diodes and the results are a bit disappointing. Neither of the two started out at 505nm.

The first at 50 mA measured 506.4nm and at 175 mA measured 507.9nm.
The second one at 60 mA measured 507.4nm and at 200 mA measured 508.4nm.

I only have two of this wavelength left to measure. I'm hoping at least one is at 505nm. :(

Darn. Well at least we still have 473+to drool over. Still going to hope those diodes were just high for some reason and the other two come in 505 or under.

I hope my 503nm is not the only low ball out there. :(
Edit: Wonder how cold it would need to be to drop one below 500nm

I hope these are around for a while. Definitely have a driver shortage in the near future for these diodes. I'll grab a few when the dust settles. Sub 510nm@100mw sounds good.

Just in case I took out the one that Rich sent me. It checked 502nm at 75 mA and 503.4nm at 200 mA. What I think has happened is Zach got sent some 510nm diodes for reasons I can only guess. I only have his last one to check and I'm betting it is well over 505nm too. That's the nice thing about having a spectrometer. No guess work. I'll have that last one checked in the next hour or so. Then it is back to the last "480nm" diodes.

ah that's sad. Hopefully my last 505 turns out to be something lower. Oh well, luck of the draw. Looking forward to the results of the last few diodes

That last diode you said not to press. I could still press it and feel better about testing at higher current. Let me know and I will wait to check it until I hear from you or until it is the last one left.

Yeah it is OK to press that one now. How many

Also, of the '480's, what are the wavelengths so far -- were the numbers in the PM rounded versons of the ones on page 12, or do I have 3 477's?

Check the tint of the reflection of the diode window and see if there all the same. My 510nm Had a golden reflection wile the 505nm I have has a dark red amber.
