Does anyone know if the 445nm diodes come in any blu ray drives? I think sony makes one, but I'm not sure. I would almost rather have 445 over 405.

But why would they make 445nm drives? I mean, shorter wave is better when it comes to writing to a disc.Though 445nm diodes would be insanely awesome :D

Someone else on here a while back was talking about how they had a 445 in thier BD-R that they were gonna extract. I was actually fixing to make a thread about this myself, I too would like to know if they're out there.

Another color I could add to my collection! muahahahahha

Far as I know all bluray drive specs are ~405nm.. so no to any ~440nm diodes.
