Now I know there is a few of these Sodium guide star laser setups but ever since I saw these photos I can't stop dreaming about this particular one, honestly it's all I dream about every night, if for some extreamly doubtfull chance it poped up on eBay for 500.000 I would sell my house and buy it, very doubtful but like I said i can't stop dreaming about it! Goddamm!

Laser guide star systems are used to project artificial star on top layers of atmosphere, where there is a process able to "reflect" it (reemit back), due to stuff left from meteorids falling and evaporating in atmosphere. Such a star is used to measure changes in atmosphere to adjust adaptive optics (little mirrors composing large mirror) in telesocpe with large magnification ("zoom"). Since the magnification is so large and atmosphere has some optical properties and changes in temperatures and flows make it kind of instable, the resolution is very poor as objects appear blurry and changing. To beat this problem, the adaptive optics with yellow laser is used to measure atmospheric changes (due adjusting the mirrors accordingly).

And RB, customs could be a problem, but then again it is not a portable.
