Hey Ultimatum, I better point out that this is a Violet/Blu-ray Diode at 405nm wavelength, NOT a blue 473nm diode.

You can get these for a lot cheaper here on the forum.

That's a "Blu-Ray" diode which is violet in color, not "blue". Tell the owner of that website to stop posting misleading information as blu-ray looks nothing like blue. Also that's very expensive. Did you find that website because of kipkay?

That is a PHR-803t, if you're lucky a SF-AW, so it's not cheap, it's grossly overpriced.

Now this looks more interesting: http://laserdiy.com/350mw-400mwbluelaserdiode.aspx
But it's probably a F03.

You should avoid that site, everything is so expensive and with no proper description at all.

yeah i watched some of his videos were there was a link to this shop...

I also thought WTF 50$ for 473nm blue, also because the image is also blue and not 405nm

peace

Yeah that website is a rip off, and kipkay is a douche. When it comes to lasers, do the opposite of what kipkay says.

Saying that a violet laser is blue and not violet isn't lying?

well i've seen a lot of sites say blue/blu ray. something along those lines. if it stated 473 then it would be 100% lying. this one is like... mostly lying, but not blatant outright lying. lol. either way the site sucks and belongs in the trash... period.

It's all a marketing gimmick. Saying that Blu-Ray is blue in color is like saying that an apple is an orange.

btw selling a set of RESISTORS for 25$ is a real scam

Wait, what ? ..... where ? .....

LOL, i got 6000 smd resistors of 24 values of my choice for less, the last time, from my supplier ..... :p

BTW, i not found the resistor set, but i found this on that site ..... 4.02 ohm ??? :wtf: .....

Apart the fact that the pic is from a 100 ohm resistor, 4.02 ohm must be a 0.5% metal film resistor ..... yellow-black-red-silver-green ..... or with an extra strip after the green if there is also the thermal stability indication .....

^ no images, no details, no current, no datasheets ..... maybe just a false 8X or an S03, presented with an incorrect description ?

Why are blue diodes at 473nm so underpowered and expensive?
