@ ferd19, as stated in the OP the current shipping ETA is 12/20.

They are in the mail right now... UPS Express.

I'm in Northern California -- Redding. About 4 hours from the bay area. During normal conditions, mail gets from Redding to the bay area in 1 business day. I know this because I mail my netflix to the bay area, and its gotten there next day every time so far (but might slow down because of Christmas).

If you want to use one for a laser and don't want the LED, let me know and I'll remove the LED/driver/pill and take $5 off the price.

As for the size its: 96.5mm x 21.5mm. 48g

If I may play devil's advocate for a moment, this seems rather pricey for an R5 flashlight.

For $16.40 with free shipping, you can get an AA/14500 flashlight running the same emitter, but with a more powerful 1000mA driver instead of the 800mA driver here. (Thus a bit brighter for cheaper)

DealExtreme: $16.40 UltraFire K10 CREE XPE R5 6-Mode 350-Lumen LED Flashlight with Strap (1*AA/1*14500)

Oh please be my guest and compare the quality of a Xeno light with a cheapo DX light.

Here are some things that may stand out, and why you should pay more:

1) Waterproof with double o-ring seal
2) Smooth square threads
3) No annoying strobe or SOS modes
4) 3 color options, and 3 LED color temperature options. This is also the first light on the market to offer a Neutral XP-G R5 option.
5) If your in the US, it will usually be delivered within 2-3 days. Instead of 2-3 weeks (if your lucky) or 2-3 months (if your not).
6) Warranty. This light has a 3 year warranty! Who's ever heard of a warranty on a DX light!
7) Comes in a nice tin / foam gift box
8) Comes with spare: o-rings and a spare switch
9) No PWM driver. Driver pulls an awesome amount of current from a AA Ni-mh! Over 2A!

These have been selling quick over at CPF. And the people that got them really love them! They've only been out for a little over a week and some customers are back for more! :)
