Thanks for the info, I am aware of the high cost of the yellow pointers. I heard there were a couple for sale here last week and sold rather quickly. Wanted to see if there were any more before I buy a new one. I miss the pure yellow from an ion laser since almost all laser projectors are solid state RGB now. Thought I'd pick up a pointer to always remind me how nice a pure yellow is.
were can you get a 5-10mw yellow laser for $200?

You don't buy everything factory direct, many times people on the LPF sell lasers for various reasons.

One of the least expensive I've seen is on Think Geek .com
But it's less than 1mw.

I am ordering a GB from CNI the ones rated 1 mW have been AVG 4-6 mW, (despite being rated 1 mW), and are $250 before shipping and PP fees, so in the USA it's $272 total. If you order now, it will minimize the GB wait. -Glenn
