Looking to buy a used pair of goggles to protect from 445nm light. I have a pair of red 532nm blocking wicked lasers goggles i'd be willing to trade.

bought from another member long ago. they are different style, but same lens color as the "your laser is green" / "red lens" ones im guessing.

Well, you can't tell from the information that they give you on the page unfortunately. You need to see what exact wavelengths that they goggles are rated for. My guess would be that you could not use them, but who knows... Wicked may be trying to sell people the same product under two different product descriptions. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. :wicked:

As a quick test, you can try shining your blue laser through the goggles (and onto a wall, not into your eyes obviously). If you can see the light on the wall, it won't work.

The LaserShades are available in 3 different models designed to protect against 445nm (Arctic LaserShades, 3.3 OD), 532nm/405nm (Red LaserShades, 2.0+ OD), 650nm (Blue LaserShades, 2.0+ OD) laser wavelengths.

hmm i see. I'm supposed to be using deep red lenses for 445nm. since mine block out pretty much 100% of 532nm im guessing they will do a decent job of protecting my eyes if im just looking at the dot on the wall. Ill just have to test to be sure though. Thanks for your help..

No. You can't just say "hey it's deep red glasses it will work half way decently". :tsk:

They're your eyes, but whatever.... Don't be cheap.

lol yeah i know.. i'm just gonna try and go from there. ive been around here long enough to hear the lectures more than once or twice.
