I got my geiger muller tube working again the other day and it has rekindled my interest in radioactivity. My collection of radioactive items could be a bit bigger, and I figured that someone on this huge forum might have some interesting stuff. So... I'm looking to buy radioactive things, "hot" things to be precise. No uranium glass or fiestaware etc.

I'm particularly interested in uranium/thorium/radium containing chemicals, and pure U/Th would be even better. Vials of radium paint interest me too.

In the case that nobody has anything of interest to me, here are some google tags that may attract someone who does. (no I am not a spambot! :na:)

I've been to united nuclear and they have nothing I am interested in, and neither does ebay. I'm more into the chemicals/metals than radioactive rocks.

You can't buy any visual amount of radioactive material legally in United States. United Nuclear also has a lot of radioactive isotopes too. You can also buy a smoke detector. They have an Americium-241 in each of them. it is a very strong alpha particles source. It has over 11000cpm. It's perfectly for Geiger Counter check or play and it's safe.

Well I'm not going to bother arguing about who you people think I am, but I know that I am not this "uranium" person. But now we are getting besides the point; does anybody have anything radioactive?

Universities typically have chemicals of that nature. Thorium nitrate, uranyl acetate etc. Not sure how you would go about actually getting someone to get you some though without getting into some sort of federal trouble.

I'd be more interested in his flux capacitor. My 12X Blu-Ray powered flux capacitor just doesnt have the power.
