WTB PSU for Uniphase #1007-1709 He-Ne

I need a PSU for a Uniphase model#1007-1709. Input of 110VAC or 12VDC, prefer 110VAC but will take 12VDC. The one I bought with it does not seem to work:cryyy:
According to Uniphase site this tube requires 1000V@4mA/starting voltage 7kV DC

When you say "doesn't seem to work", what does that mean. What does the PSU and laser actually "do"?

I have a "15V in - 1200V (3.4mA) out" (I use them with 12V all the time) that should work, but it won't help much if the problem is with the tube.

Also, you would have to solder an extension to the negative wire on the one I have.

**EDIT** As I included in the PM about it, I remembered the in/out incorrectly it is 1250VDC @ 3.2mA out
