Hi,

I am just asking anyone if they have an LPM for sale before i go and buy one retail. I am looking at the 3.7W USB Laserbee so anything that can go to 3-4W i'll consider. If no one has one by next Tuesday i am just going to buy one retail i suppose..

Also, i am looking for a spectrometer? Any help with this at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Well I "might" but untill I get the ophir I just can't tell you for sure. You would have to wait.
As for the spectrometer, well let me tell you, are you willing to spend a lot of money? A spectrometer is EXPENSIVE...

For a spectrometer that most people on the forums use, you can spend around $500-800. Actually, that is the exact range ARG paid for his. I'm saving for one as a matter of fact. Anyway, good luck. I can pass on the advice ARG gave me:

A science surplus one, from an ebay seller. It's what most people have here because it's cheap. If you buy an ocean optics one on ebay make sure it includes the software key, or you're buggered.
Search for Optical Spectrometer on ebay.

Yeah.. 500-800$ is the typical range for these

I'd recommend talking to him about these if you need more advice. Meatball and RHD also have spectrometers if I am not mistaken.

Yes, yes i am. I am making this my "main" hobby so i don't mind sinking a bit of cash..

Yeah, i actually emailed pembroke instruments about a Qstick and they quoted me just over $1800. That would be good as it is just the size of a USB and just plugs into your laptop. It is quite awesome actually. I have found a quite big spectrometer (0.22m) for a touch over $300 from a science instruments store. Its old but they tell me it does the trick and still comes with a warranty.
